     These are mostly extracts from letters written by

Sri Aurobindo to his disciples in answer to their

queries. Wherever it was possible every effort

has been made to introduce the letter in full;

for, the total beauty of a letter in its spontaneity

has a charm of its own and especially so when

it is written by the Master. These letters covering

over a wide space of time and various problems

have been put together and arranged into sections

much in the manner of the Lights on Toga in the

hope that they might be of some help to

aspirants for the understanding and practice of

the Yoga.
